SCAC Volunteers Needed

SCAC Volunteers are needed for a SCAC Activity Table (Making Cards & Decorations) at the Festive Family Arts Event

Sooke Writers' Collective is a group member of SCAC. They usually meet every first Wednesday of the month at the Sooke Public Library. Dates and locations might change so please visit their website for up to date information.

Their mission is to provide support, connection, inspiration and encouragement to writers at all levels of development in the Sooke region through membership services which include monthly meetings and community outreach in the form of student writing contests, workshops and readings.

Write from Sooke

Sooke Writers' Collective have published their fourth anthology.

Write from Sooke contains the stories and poems from the members of the collective as well as the winning entries for their annual EMCS student writing contest.

Books may be purchased locally at the Sooke Region Museum gift shop, Well Read Books, Artisan’s Garden and Barking Dog Studio. The can also be ordered through the SWC website.

 

2017 ARTiFACTS Art Show VIDEO

The Third Annual ARTiFACTS Art Show - A SCAC Members' Art Show happened in May 2017. Watch for it again in 2018!

SCAC Members Linda Gordon, Deb Koff and Michel DesRochers donated artwork to the CNIB Eye Appeal and attended the artist reception. It was held at the Victoria Conference Center May 11. Among the many dignitaries were the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia and Sooke councillor Brenda Parkinson.
